Nick Schillace Comes to North Carolina!
Maybe you already heard this around the way or something, but new Burly Time artist Nick Schillace will be in North Carolina Friday, Feb. 22 and Saturday, Feb. 23. He'll play Nightlight in Chapel Hill with our friends Bellafea on Friday and the Patchwerk Playhaus in Charlotte with our cousin Megafaun on Saturday. Landscape and People hits stores March 18, followed by Nick's CD release party on April 12 at Broad Street Cafe in Durham with Megafaun, Horseback and Eric Carbonara. More deets are forthcoming. This will be our first time meeting person-to-person, face-to-face, burl-to-burl. Yay! Also, Nick's album is now available in advance. Just click the Shop button to the right.
Burly Time Welcomes Nick Schillace
We're pleased to announce the addition of Detroit guitarist Nick Schillace to the Burly Time roster. We will be releasing Nick's excellent new album, Landscape and People, as BTR003 on March 18, and we couldn't be more excited. The eight songs on Landscape and People showcase Nick as a guitarist with a highly personal sense of building images from melodies. Nick's always dexterous, never flashy playing turns headphones into old movie projectors, and the reels are imprinted with wide-open vistas captured with the ears and eyes and heart of a romantic player.
